The "Naturalizations" records were compiled in the early 2000s by volunteers from the "Amicale Généalogie Méditerranée" (AGM), under the Presidency of Henri-Louis ORAIN.
These records were previously available for consultation on the AGM website, which is being restructured and therefore currently unavailable.
In order to keep these records available to genealogists, the Management Committee of the AGM agreed to have them published on Geneanum.
We thank the volunteers and the Management Committee of the AGM for their valuable contribution and the quality of their records.

Many people among us find a ancestor who acquired French nationality by naturalization.
The naturalization file is a document that fully deserves its place among the records a genealogist must gather: on the one hand for the information on the civil status of the applicant and their family, and on the other hand thanks to the small details that such a file may contain.
Sources used: Bulletins des Lois available at the Departmental Archives of Hérault (Montpellier) and at the Departmental Archives of Gard (Nîmes).
This record provides the reference numbers of the naturalization decrees, thus enabling consultation of these decrees and, where applicable, requesting the naturalization file from the National Archives.
