Zurrieq
Overview
Iż-Żurrieq, also known as Żurrieq, is one of the oldest villages in Malta, with a population of 12,000 inhabitants. It is located in the south of Malta.
Ruins dating from the Bronze Age can be found in Żurrieq, as well as Roman structures. The buildings illustrate the various colonizations of the island: Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Greeks.
