Records from Trapani, Marsala and Favignana

Map of the Sicilian Triangle in 1853Trapani, Marsala and Favignana (which is part of the Aegadian Islands) are three cities in western Sicily located approximately 220 km from Tunisia. Throughout history, fishermen from these cities conducted fishing campaigns in the Gulf of Tunis. Then, around the middle of the 19th century, many emigrated to the Regency of Tunis, passing through La Goulette.

Many genealogists from Tunisia, but also from Morocco and Algeria, trace their roots back to the "Trapani-Marsala-Favignana" triangle. Hence the value of the records offered to you by Geneanum.
