Catholic Records

Since July 2004, the diocese of Tunis, thanks to the late Father Michel Prignot and Abbé Descousses, has transcribed Catholic baptism, marriage, and death records from Tunis.

These records were available on the DEBONO website. With their agreement, we have taken over the data to allow easy searching within the records.

In addition, Josyanne Massa has collected additional data from Sousse, Bizerte, Mahdia, and Sainte Croix.

Civil Records

Thanks to Marie Claude Bessias, our data also includes the integration of records from the registers of the French consulate in Tunisia, thank you

In addition, the "civil status" section of the newspaper "La Dépêche Tunisienne" has also been collected to improve the information in our databases.

Thanks to the edusfax website, the records have been supplemented with information from the graves of the Christian Cemetery of Sfax.
